Adam Bennett is an Eastern North Carolina native, born and raised in Wilson. His love for sales began at age 10 with door-to-door sales for his father’s tree business. This pursuit at a young age made him realize he wanted to do something that involved helping people while building something of his own. As a child and young adult, he stayed active in his community and school, engaging in numerous sports as well as the local 4-H association, from both of which he learned the importance of physical and mental discipline. This provided him the tools and foundation, and competitive spirit to always strive to be the very best. After graduating from Hunt High School, he went on to study at the local community college, and later to Cape Fear Community College to obtain his Associate in Science.
During his time in college, his love for interacting with people grew through his work in the restaurant industry. Upon moving to Wilmington, he fell in love with the town and the people in it. He knew he wanted to learn more about the community, and what better way to do so than to get a job at the first established restaurant on the river front, The Pilot House? Here he had the opportunity to meet and mingle with many individuals looking to relocate and make Wilmington their forever home. This is where he realized that real estate was the key to making his dreams a reality.
Adam is an enthusiastic individual who enjoys the outdoors and anything involving being active. His evolvement in the Brunson’s Mixed Martial Arts community has furthered his physical and mental fitness and drive, and honed his competitive spirit. I am a proud life-long Wilsonian and love calling Wilson my home town. As you can imagine, even with Wilson not being a large urban city, I have seen enormous changes throughout our community over the last 25 years. I graduated from Beddingfield High School…Go Bruins! After graduating high school, I went to work in the heating and air conditioning industry. After working there for several years, I started my own heating & air conditioning company which is still successfully operated by my family today. Owning my own business and understanding what it means to meet payroll, manage inventory, market the business and do everything else imaginable to run a business prepared me for my next challenge in life….to sell real estate!
I have always been drawn to the real estate industry. I had the opportunity to see homes being built as I installed countless heating and air units in new construction homes (as well as existing homes). I had the opportunity to meet home owners and see their faces light up as they engaged in one of the most exciting times of their life… buying a home. Hey, I’m Garrett! I’m a native of the Glendale community just outside of Kenly, NC. I’m proud to call eastern North Carolina home and love everything it has to offer. I graduated from NC State University (Go Pack!) with a Biological Engineering degree. I worked in the construction and environmental consulting industry and lived in Raleigh for over 15 years. After our son was born in 2020, my wife and I decided to move back east to be closer to family and that good ol’ fresh country air.
I love all things outdoors and feel blessed to have such close access to the beautiful beaches and mountains of NC and everything in between. I’m a passionate outdoorsman, grill-master, and avid sports follower. During the season you’ll find me cheering on the Wolfpack, Panthers, Hurricanes, and the new Charlotte FC! My wife, being a Kentucky native has also brought about a slight fondness for UK. But don’t worry, you won’t find any blue in my closet. GTHC!
